Hi guys!
I've been interested in Reverse Washing since NouveauCheap posted this blog waaaaay back in 2014. Interestingly, when I went back to find that post, I noticed that her winning combo for Reverse Washing was Tresemme! So it seems only fitting that when Influenster sent me a Reverse Washing system to try, it was from Tresemme.
G and I have very similar hair, so I always pay really close attention to her hair recommendations. But I have to be honest, I was never a big Tresemme fan. This duo, however, has changed my mind completely!
So this is how it works: You have your conditioner and you have your shampoo. You apply them in exactly the same way as you normally would, just with the conditioner first. It's supposed to leave your hair soft but without being weighed down by the super moisturizing conditioner.
And it works!
I have naturally fine, wavy hair, and I've always had an issue with volume. After using this system and cutting my hair into an angled lob (worst word ever - seriously), I've never been so happy with how my hair looks when I do absolutely nothing to it. I could feel a difference in the weight of my hair even while it was still wet right after a shower. There's nothing holding it down, so it does it's own thing and looks awesome. PLUS, I can go longer between washes because the conditioner isn't making the top of my head (where there's no volume - at all) greasy.
One of the things G mentions in that original blog is that the key to Reverse Washing is to find a conditioner that doesn't rinse completely clean. I think that's where the magic happens. It means that your hair is still protected by the conditioner when you apply the shampoo, so it doesn't strip away all of the moisture you just gave your hair.
Overall, I'm totally happy with this duo and would highly recommend it. This is the best thing I've ever received from Influenster!

Rimmel London Eyeliner and Gentle Makeup Remover Review
Hi guys!
I recently received two Rimmel London products in my Frosty Voxbox complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.
I already did a mini review on that post, but I wanted to give a more in-depth review on these two products. The first is the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Kohl Eyeliner in Black.
As I said in my previous post, I already owned the nude version of this and loved it for using in my waterline. The black is just as creamy and soft and works really well for tightlining, which is something I've been trying to get into but teaching yourself to poke yourself in the eye isn't the easiest. Says the girl who wears contacts.
I like how much thicker tightlining makes my lashes look, and the black stays just as well as the nude. In the above picture I'm wearing both nude and black eyeliner, and I think it makes an overall complete look. Plus, they're both so creamy I can swipe them on no problem!
The other Rimmel London product is the Gentle Eye Makeup Remover.
I don't use waterproof mascara because I don't find I need it, but this sure does make taking off eye makeup easier! I wish I had had it when I was performing. My face wipes do a great job of taking off makeup on the outside of my eye, but this newfound love of tightlining I've developed means that I need something more hardcore. And this is great. It's gentle so it doesn't bother my eyes (or my skin) and it removes the dark eyeliner and mascara (even non-waterproof can be hard to remove sometimes!) quickly and easily.
So that's that! Do you guys use Rimmel London products? What are your favorites?

Influenster Frosty Voxbox
Hi guys!
Today I'm here to talk about my Influenster Frosty Voxbox. I received this box full of samples complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
In my Frosty Voxbox I received:
Red Vines Fruit Vines Bites
I'm not a huge Twizzlers/red licorice fan, but I really enjoyed these. They're sweet without being super artificial, and they don't make my stomach hurt!
New York Color Expert Last Lip Color in Sugar Plum
A nice berry color, but still light enough to be neutral. I wish it weren't a frosty finish (though I suppose since it's the Frosty Voxbox I shouldn't be surprised...) but it's a nice enough color.
McCormick Gourmet Thyme
It's a little odd to get a spice in a Voxbox, but I've used it a few times now, and I like it! I used it for a McCormick Chicken and Noodles Italian Style dish plus putting it on my vegetables when I roast them.
Rimmel London Scandaleyes Kohl Eyeliner in Black
I don't like green tea or peppermint, so this product was a bit of a bust. I'll stick to my chai, thank you.
EcoTools Sleek + Shine Finisher Hair Brush

I already own this in nude, and I really love it for the waterline. I don't use black eyeliner much because I find it's too harsh on me, but this works really well for tightlining. It's hard to find a soft enough black pencil liner for the tight line, but this one is really soft and creamy.
Rimmel London Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
I don't use waterproof mascara, but man does this stuff take off eye makeup easily! Plus, it really is gentle and doesn't bother my eyes or my skin.
Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Green Tea
EcoTools Sleek + Shine Finisher Hair Brush
I have a really sensitive scalp (curse you, red hair!!) so this brush is a little rough for my taste. It does, however, do a really nice job brushing out the rat's nests I get underneath my hair from my scarves and the dry Maine winter. It also does make your hair really sleek and shiny.
Boots No 7 Protect and Perfect Advanced Sachet
They say it's never too early to start fighting the signs of aging. Even though I feel a little silly buying anti-aging products at 24, I would've liked to try this out more thoroughly. A foil packet with one use doesn't tell me what I need to know about how the protect works/reacts with my skin nor makes me want to run out and buy this (fairly expensive) skincare product. Another fail for Influenster with this one.

That's everything I got in my Frosty Voxbox from Influenster! Hope you guys enjoyed!

Wantable Accessories July Box
Hi guys!
Another fantastic early birthday present from someone who
apparently thinks I deserve to be completely showered with gifts.
This is the July Accessories Wantable Box. It came
ridiculously fast, and I’m so happy with it.
My preferences are (in case you’re curious):
Love – Rock ‘n Roll, Boho, Mix ‘n Match, Earrings,
Necklaces, Rings, Silver Tone, Multi Tone
Like – Classic, Glam, Watches, Sunglasses, Scarves
Dislike – Bracelets, Hair Accessories, Gold Tone
The whole idea is you’re most likely to receive products you
love, and you’ll never receive products you dislike. So, really, you should at
least like, if not love, everything in your box. Here’s what was in mine!
There wasn’t an “I Love Trees” option, but somehow Wantable
knew anyway! I totally love this necklace.
I don’t wear big dangly earrings all that often, but I sure
do love them. And these are turquoise (my favorite color) to boot!
I love how delicate this necklace is. It’s definitely on my
list to wear to an opening night party. Or maybe I already have!
This is super cool and once I master how to put it on, it
will be even cooler! I love the studded look and the wrap look. Put them both
together and count me in!

July Favorites
Hi guys!
I can't believe it's already time to do favorites again. This summer has been so busy that it is flying by! Thankfully, I've gotten to try some new products this month that I'm loving.

Sachajuan Ocean Mist
I already mentioned last month that I'm loving beach sprays. I got this one in my PopSugar Summer Box, and it smells SO good. Other than that, I think it does really nice things to my hair - soft, tousley, perfect-for-summer hair!
Elf Brush Cleaner
I bought this accidentally thinking it was the Makeup Mist and Set, but I actually really enjoy it. I'm terrible about cleaning my brushes, and this gives me a fast, easy way to keep them (relatively) bacteria free. Plus it smells good and so do my brushes after I use it!

Beauty Blender
I got my first Beauty Blender, and I'm totally in love with it. The only thing is that within three weeks it started to mold! I think it's just the way I was storing it to dry, but I've got to be extra careful with my next one.

Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara
I felt like I needed to switch up my mascara, and I'm definitely glad I choose this one. The formula is perfect for me - not too wet, not too dry - and I'm finding that I really like the synthetic wands.

Citrus Sambra Limited Edition SoftSoap
After being very disappointed by the Summer Edition SoftSoaps last year, I'm really glad I like this one. I love anything citrus, and this reminds me a lot of the The Body Shop Satsuma shower gel I was using, just more moisturizing and lather-y, which I like.
So that's it! Everything I've been loving this month. I have to confess, I may not be able to blog very much soon. I have to tighten my budget quite a lot to save up for some important things, and that won't leave very much for new beauty products. It may just mean more reviews and a closer look at my products instead of new things, but we'll have to see!

July Ipsy Bag
Hi guys!
My July Ipsy Bag is here! Let’s see what I got!
Balm? Yes. Tinted? Not really. If the color doesn’t show up
on my paler-than-pale hands, there’s no way it’s doing anything to my lips. A
major disappointment and not something I’ll use, especially because it smells
minty.
I’m so unadventurous with moisturizers. I’ve been using the
Daily Grace Bar from Lush since I got it back in March, and I don’t want to go
anywhere else. I’ll either throw this in my swap bin or save it for some day when
I’m in need of a moisturizer and have no other choice.
I’m actually really intrigued by this product. It has a
doe-foot applicator, which is not something I’ve seen before in a spot
treatment. My current dermatology treatment has been working pretty well, but
every so often it would be nice to have a little help. It’s a small sample, but
I actually think, with the way my skin has been behaving lately, it’ll last me
a long time.
Of course I’m really excited about this. Sparkly and red. My
only regret is that I didn’t have it in time for the Fourth of July.
Even though I love my Julep Cream Eyeshadow as a base, I’m
interested in this. I wish I had gotten literally any other of the 10 colors
that exist, but that’s okay. It’s a
pretty nude color with just the tiniest bit of shimmer, and it’ll most likely
work excellently on the days that I want coverage but not a lot of makeup.

July Julep Box
Hi guys!
Today I have my newest Julep Box to show you. This one I got
for free because I had racked up enough Jules. I decided to switch up my normal
Boho Glam box and go with the Bombshell box instead.
In my box I received:
Bare Body Milk
Lissa
Beverly
I’m most excited about Lissa. I’ve been lusting after Sally
Hansen’s Triple Shine Dive In color, but I’ve been holding myself back from
buying it because of this color. I hope it lives up to the hype and beauty of
the Sally Hansen one.
I really like Beverly as well, though. I think it’s just the
most beautiful shade and unlike anything I have in my collection so far.
I’ve already used the Body Milk, and I’m really impressed
with it. It’s perfect for summer – really moisturizing, but light and it smells
so fresh. I used it right after shaving with a new product, and I’m definitely
into this combination.
This will probably be my last Julep box for a while. I have
some things I’m saving up for in the future, and everyone knows I have more
than enough nail polish. I have enough new, unused polish stock piled that I’ll
still be wearing new polish for a while. I’m looking forward to visiting some
favorites after that, though.
