Favorite Products of 2013

Well, my little blog is 6 months old as of December, so while I don't have a whole ton of products that I loved for 2013, I do have some good ones. These are some products that I loved so much during 2013 that I repurchased them (some multiple times!)

Olay Fresh Effects Cleansing Wipes

I was totally in love with my Love & Beauty ones from Forever 21, so the fact that these have become my new go-to is pretty impressive. They're wet enough, take off makeup wonderfully, and are just a little bit textured. They're not too hard on my sensitive skin but still get the job done!

Earth Therapeutics Tea Tree Oil Foot Repair Balm

I picked this up on a whim at Ulta, and I love it so much. It keeps my feet (and hands) soft and moisturized without being greasy or thick. Plus, it has great natural ingredients in it!

St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub

Even though this doesn't work as well as it did when I first started using it, I'd highly recommend it. It's gentle and has natural ingredients but still does it's job. I like how clean my skin feels after using it.

Victoria's Secret Body Splash in Fresh & Clean

My favorite summer scent! I like that it's girly, but not overwhelmingly so. A little floral, a little fresh and totally me!

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation and Powder

While these two aren't my holy grail products, I am currently on my third bottle, and they've done really well for me. I might step up to a more full-coverage foundation when I run out of these, but until then, I like they way they feel, the way they blend into my skin, and the color match.

Don't forget to come back on Wednesday - I'm talking 2014 resolutions!

Five Products I've Emptied

It's time for another empties post! For a while it felt like I wasn't finishing anything. Now I'm finishing everything at once! Not good for my wallet, but definitely good for my soul.

1. Simple Moisturizer

I wasn't blown away by this moisturizer, but I did like it. I realized after a while that it made my skin really greasy in the morning, and it was a little thicker than I would've liked, but overall not a bad product. I won't repurchase it, but only because it's just not for me.

2. Softsoap Limited Edition Summer Scent in Maui Coconut Splash

I've loved this the entire time I've been using it. And while I'm ready for a more fall scent, I can't help but be a little sad that this is gone. It's really moisturizing and smells great. I love Softsoap, and this was no exception.

3. Michael Todd Jojoba Charcoal Scrub

'

This little sample from my September Ipsy didn't last long, but man did I love it. The fact that it was black (I know - it's charcoal) was a little off-putting, but it made my skin so soft. I definitely will consider repurchasing in the future, but right now I need my skincare to have a little more acne fighting properties, so this one might go on the back burner.

4. Korres Pomegranate Mattifying Treatment

This may very well be my holy grail primer, and I'm devastated that it's gone. It lasted me almost a year before it finally ran out. I love how light this stuff is but how well it mattifies. I love the light, pomegranate scent. I love the packaging. The only thing I don't love is the price. That's the one downside. And unfortunately, right now, ain't nobody got dimes for that. So I'll have to do without. Stay tuned, though, I've been using a new primer, and I'm really liking it!

5. Victoria Secret Pink! Fresh & Clean Body Mist

I finished my second travel sized bottle of this, and I'm on to my full size! I love this scent. It's a little muskier, a little less feminine than most, but that's what I like about it. I'm not a flowery girl, and this is perfect for me. I might try to expand my scent horizons once I finish my giant bottle, but that won't happen for a while!

What products have you guys used up lately? Anything you're absolutely repurchasing? Anything you're absolutely not?

June Favorites

It's the end of June! (Well, now the beginning of July..) and it's time to talk about what I've been loving this month! So let's jump right in!

Victoria's Secret Body Splash in Fresh & Clean

I've recently rediscovered this fragrance, and I'm loving it all over again. Beth has the Fun and Fearless scent, and it made me want to use mine. I really like Victoria Secret's scents, because I feel like they're not super duper girly (or at least, you can find some that aren't) but they stick around well, and I feel like they're pretty light too.

Ulta Nail Polish in Pinata Yada Yada

This product isn't even technically mine, so I might be cheating by including it, but I used this polish for accent nails over a Selena Gomez polish (that's coming in another post) and I fell in love. Beth picked this up 2 for 1 at Ulta when we went, and I'm definitely picking some up the next time we go. I have never been a glitter fan for my own nails. I love it on others, but I never liked it for me. This might be the polish to change that.

Warm eyeshadows

This isn't a specific product, but lately I've been going for warmer reds and oranges and pinks with my eyeshadow looks. Maybe it's because the weather has been pretty dreary lately, but I've been gravitating toward them, even though I've never been one for those colors with my red hair.

Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Liner in Nude

I bought this last month, but I only really started using it consistently this month. It was one of those things that many of my Youtubers raved about, so I decided to try it. I use it in my waterline, and I really love how it helps to brighten up my eyes. I don't necessarily believe it's waterproof because it doesn't stick around all that long, but I at least like looking bright eyed in the morning, when I first put it on.

Candy Crush Saga

I admit, I have been sucked in. I remember people playing this back in the Fall semester, but it never interested me. Then one day, while I was in Baltimore doing nothing, I decided to try it, and now I'm hooked. I got Beth hooked, and we've pretty much been playing non-stop. It's addictive in the way that even once you want to stop playing, you feel like you have to keep playing. I'm on level 65 now, so I'm moving along pretty steadily.

The Dive from Clausen's Pier by Ann Packer

I bought this from the Monmouth Library's book sale for $.50, and I'm really enjoying it so far. I originally bought it because I thought it was by Ann Patchett (I obviously didn't look very hard) but it sounded interesting, so I decided to give it a try. It's not anything like what I thought it'd be, but I'd recommend it none the less.

Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch

I was really hesitant to get this the first time I saw it, but it turned out to be absolutely amazing. They don't sell it in family boxes, so I honestly buy two boxes at a time. I thought the flakes and o's would be a weird combination, but I'm so in love with this cereal. If you like such things, do yourself a favor and try it!

Hannaford Mango Peach juice

I couldn't find a picture of this, but I finished my most recent bottle of this today, and it's still delicious. I saw it at Alex's house when I visited her, so I picked some up for myself. I've had it by itself and as a mixer, and it works great both ways. Plus, it's only 80 calories!
