Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask Review #powerofplants

Hi guys!

Today I wanted to talk about this ridiculously amazing mask I recently got in my Influenster J'Adore Box. It's the Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask.

A while back in ipsy, some people received Glam Glow samples. Ever since then, I've been on the hunt for something cheaper but just as effective. I found an Amazon add on that looked promising, but given that I didn't want to buy something just to get the add on, I waited.

And then this stuff came into my life. It truly is amazing. It has the exact same effect as Glam Glow which means that it sucks impurities out of your skin. And you can see it happen! Once the mask dries, any place that had impurities looks like this:

Not my picture

I was a little hesitant to try it because of how dry and sensitive my face has been lately, but it's really gentle and nice. It's a lot more watery than clay masks I've used before, but you shake it up and then apply it to your face. It goes on dark green and turns a lighter moss green as it dries. I use it before bed and watch Youtube while it dries. Then I hop in the shower and wash it off for the ultimate relaxing experience.

In the drying process

It really is incredible how much it's done for my pores. They're smaller, less noticeable, and I don't get a significant build-up of dirt anymore.  And the best part? It's roughly $10 AND it's available at Target. I will definitely be picking up more of this product when I run out (another good thing: it's not the biggest bottle, but it'll last me a long time) and it's made me interested to try other products from this line. If everything's this amazing, I may have found a new favorite drugstore brand!

I'd highly recommend this product to anyone with excess oil and blackheads. You will be shocked at how effective yet gentle this product is.

The most wonderful time of the year

Hi guys!

I know this is really late, but honestly, my life hasn't been that exciting lately. I felt the need to update you all on what's been happening in my life this week, though, so here goes:

Our Box Office Manager came for a few days to set up next season in our system so we can sell tickets. It was really great to see him and spend some time with him. We didn't know each other well over the summer, but I always enjoyed spending time with him when he was around. Plus, it was nice to talk to someone who's in the same boat as me with stuff and to have someone else in the office.

On Wednesday night Ryan and I drove to Portland to see a TAM alumni in The Santaland Diaries which is based on a David Sedaris story, and it was hilarious. Dusty is ridiculously talented, and he knows who I am, so that was pretty cool.

I spent Thursday and Friday working on my Marketing plan, ad renewals, and our End of the Year video. I'm actually hoping for a snow day on Monday so I can just work on it from home instead of going into the office. Everyone says it's not going to happen though. Oh well. Only one more week!

Today I slept WAY in and then went to Ulta and Target to almost completely finish up my Christmas shopping. I still have to buy something for my dad's girlfriend, but that requires me getting to The Body Shop, and the closest one is half an hour away. I'll do that once I get back to Baltimore since we're not doing Christmas with them until my sister and I get to Florida after New Years anyway.

At Ulta I picked up Nail Envy for my mom and some replacement foundation and powder for me. I also caved at the last minute and bought myself a mini The Body Shop Satsuma body butter. Seriously, the scent is amazing. Then at Target I bought gift supplies (tissue paper, bags, cards), a frame for my aunt's picture, and some gloves and a headband because it is COLD here.

I'm looking forward to going home and getting some time to relax. Hope everyone's holiday season is going well!

Target Beauty Box June 2013

My mom sent my Target Beauty Box along with my Ipsy, so I got twice the goodies!

The beauty box contained:

A Venus & Olay Razor
Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips
A sample of Loreal's BB Cream in light
A sample of Effaclear Duo Daily Acne Treatment Lotion
A mini size of Fekkai hair glossing cream

For only $5, that's not bad at all!

I've already traded away the razor and the nail strips. I'm very particular about my razor (actually, my skin is) and men's razors work way better for me. Plus, I got a Venus & Olay razor in one of my VoxBoxes recently, and I wasn't a big fan. I like the idea of nail strips, but the application never lives up to my expectations. It's a sad state of affairs.

I'm looking forward to trying the BB cream and the glossing cream a lot. I'm almost out of my Maybelline BB Cream, and I'm always interested in trying the different brands. The glossing cream will be especially good now, as my hair continually fights the battle of the Toad well water.

As for the acne lotion, a single sample isn't going to be enough to see any kind of difference or make any kind of judgement, so I'm a little disappointed by that. I'll use it, but I guarantee I won't want to purchase it based on one day.

I also got a $3 off any beauty purchase of $15 or more which will definitely come in handy if I can get back to Target before it expires.

So that's everything! Did you get the Target Beauty Box? Are you excited by what's in it? Would you get it again? Let me know!
