June 2014 Ipsy Bag

Hi guys!

I'm almost caught up on my subscriptions now. Today (just a little late) I have my June Ipsy Bag for you. This month's bag theme was Pretty in Paradise and Rebecca Minkoff designed the bag! Look at how pretty it is!

In my bag, I got:

Be a Bombshell Lash Out Mascara

This mascara had a bit of a controversy surrounding it because many people complained about it's smell (mine smells bad, but it's not unusable and it does go away). It has a decent effect on lashes, but it smudged on me pretty badly, so I haven't used it that much.

Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach Spray

As I mentioned in my favorites post, I'm loving beach sprays right now. I'm not a huge fan of the pump on this one, but I certainly can't complain about it.

Nyx Butter Gloss in Eclair

I haven't used this yet, but I've been thinking about trying the Nyx Butter Glosses for a while now. I don't use lip products very often, but when I have occasion to wear this, I'm very much looking forward to it.

Jesse's Girl Waterproof Eyeliner

I don't use liquid eyeliner (especially not in black) so this product is a bust. On to the swap board it goes!

Ole Henriksen Truth to Go Wipes

These smell exactly like the Truth to Go serum that came in a previous bag (that I traded for) which is a light citrus-y cream scent. It's not my favorite, but I don't hate it. I do like how wet these are, and they do an excellent job of removing makeup.

So that's everything! Did you guys get the June bag? Are you totally excited or wishing for something else?

April 2014 Ipsy Bag

Hi guys!

I have my April Ipsy bag to show off today! This month's theme was Beauty Rocks!

In my bag, I received the following:

Cover FX Mattifying Primer with Anti-Acne Treatment

Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Black Velvet

City Color White Gold Shadow and Highlight Mousse

Demeter Roll On Perfume in Jasmine

Mary Kay at Play Lip Gloss in Teddy Bare

To be honest, the only thing I'm really excited about is the mattifying primer. I was more excited about lip gloss, but I tried it on Sunday, and it's ridiculously sticky.
Not the best bag this month, but it's the luck of the draw.

February 2014 Ipsy Bag

It's my favorite time of the month again! Ipsy time!

This month's theme was: The Look of Love!

In my bag, I got:

Zoya Nail Polish in Dot

This is the third Zoya polish I got from ipsy, and I'm totally okay with that! I actually wanted the other color that people were getting in bags (Odette), but I decided to wear this as an accent nail this week (you'll see on Friday!), and I'm kind of loving it. It's a good basic neutral. Pretty and girly, but not in your face so.

POP Beauty Plump Pout Mini in Fuschia Freesia

This has kind of a weird smell in the tube (and for a little bit on your lips) but it gets better. It, too, is pink and girly, and it's a really nice color. I'm not a huge lip gloss girl, but I like having a variety for when I do decide I want to wear one.

Tini Beauty Eyetini Cordial Cream Shadow + Base-in-one

When I swatched this on my hand, I had high hopes. Unfortunately, I experimented with it just a little on my eyes, and it sheers out really badly. It's a beautiful color, but I don't think it's going to be good for anything but a base for a purple powder shadow which I am now on the lookout for!

skyn ICELAND Fresh Start Mask with Ice Age Mud

I'm not a big fan of foil packets, but I do love a good face mask. I ended up trading my last ones away because I was worried about my skin handling it poorly, but I think I'll give this one a try!

J.Cat Eyelashes & Eyelash Glue

This is the second pair of J.Cat fake eyelashes I've received from ipsy, and I'm not the least bit excited about them. I don't wear fake eyelashes!

I'm kind of 'meh' about this bag. It's not bad, and I'm looking forward to using four out of the five products, but there's nothing I'm crazily excited about. I would've liked some of the other products that were options this month like the blush, the First Aid Beauty face wash, or the Pacifica Lotion.

October 2013 Ipsy Bag

It's my favorite time of the month! Ipsy time! I'm actually really excited about my bag this month, so let's check out what I got!

The theme is month is "The Art of Beauty" and I think the bag is really cute!  Let's dive into the products!

Zoya in Giovanna

I probably need more nail polish like I need another hole in my head, but I think this is gorgeous! Kind of green, kind of blue, and shimmery! I'm very excited to try this out!

Big Sexy Hair Blow Dry Volumizing Gel
This one I'm not too excited about. I'd love to try out more hair products, and I could use more volume, but I don't even remember the last time I touched a blowdryer. Natural and curly is my go-to. I'm working on swapping this away.

Nourish Organic Coconut & Argan Body Lotion
I recently rediscovered using lotion before bed, so I'm excited about this! I have a travel sized one I'm using (and loving!) right now, but this will definitely be second in line!

La Fresh Oil-Free Cleansing Wipes
I love cleansing wipes, and I'm about out of my beloved Forever 21 ones, so I'm looking forward to trying these out. It's cool that they're 100% biodegradable and they're not /that/ expensive. Though, the closest store that carries them to me is in Connecticut, so I probably won't be purchasing these, even if I love them.

Buxom Lip Polish in Dolly

This seems to be the item that everyone is most excited about this month, but I'm actually trading mine away. I already own this polish (I have no idea where it came from) and I'm not a huge fan. My mom might have it now, actually. It's has that whole "lip plumping" thing going on which I don't like, and I'm just not big on lip glosses in the first place. Hopefully I'll be able to trade it for another Ipsy item which I really want.

So that's everything! I think my bag is pretty kickass this month, even with the two products I want to swap. Look for my September-October Ipsy reviews coming soon!

Hope everyone's had a great weekend!

Lorac Mint Edition Collection

Today I have the Lorac Cosmetics Mint Edition Collection to show you. I was drawn to this collection because a) I love all things mint, b) the blush and the lip gloss were coral, and I love all things coral, and c) the palette is mostly neutral colors which is right up my alley.

These are the colors in the palette. They don't have names. The dark color in the lower right comes off way more red in this picture. In reality it's a more of a purpley, mauve color. Also, the blush is way pinker in real life.

I know these swatches are hard to see, but it's the best I could do. All the colors are really creamy and soft, and pretty pigmented. As you can see, the lightest color on the top left and the one directly under it are the lightest/hardest to see. They'd make pretty highlight colors, though. The blush is really beautiful. I've been looking for a coral blush, so I'm excited to see how this one does.

Finally, we have the coral lip gloss. I'm a huge stickler about my glosses being sticky, but this one was surprisingly smooth. And very pigmented! I love the color, and I'm excited about trying this.

So what do you guys think? Are you interested in this collection? You can find it on the Lorac website for $18, half of what it originally was! And you get free shipping! You can't beat that!
