#ReverseYourRoutine with Tresemme

Hi guys!

I've been interested in Reverse Washing since NouveauCheap posted this blog waaaaay back in 2014. Interestingly, when I went back to find that post, I noticed that her winning combo for Reverse Washing was Tresemme! So it seems only fitting that when Influenster sent me a Reverse Washing system to try, it was from Tresemme.

G and I have very similar hair, so I always pay really close attention to her hair recommendations. But I have to be honest, I was never a big Tresemme fan. This duo, however, has changed my mind completely!

So this is how it works: You have your conditioner and you have your shampoo. You apply them in exactly the same way as you normally would, just with the conditioner first. It's supposed to leave your hair soft but without being weighed down by the super moisturizing conditioner.

And it works!

I have naturally fine, wavy hair, and I've always had an issue with volume. After using this system and cutting my hair into an angled lob (worst word ever - seriously), I've never been so happy with how my hair looks when I do absolutely nothing to it. I could feel a difference in the weight of my hair even while it was still wet right after a shower. There's nothing holding it down, so it does it's own thing and looks awesome. PLUS, I can go longer between washes because the conditioner isn't making the top of my head (where there's no volume - at all) greasy.

One of the things G mentions in that original blog is that the key to Reverse Washing is to find a conditioner that doesn't rinse completely clean. I think that's where the magic happens. It means that your hair is still protected by the conditioner when you apply the shampoo, so it doesn't strip away all of the moisture you just gave your hair.

Overall, I'm totally happy with this duo and would highly recommend it. This is the best thing I've ever received from Influenster!
